As you engage in clinical supervision, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills while receiving guidance from an experienced licensed clinical social worker. Your relationship with your supervisor will be based on mutual trust and understanding. Your supervisor will provide direction to you in applying social work theory, standardized knowledge, skills, and ethical principles in your practice. I will be available to you to provide support and constructive feedback to help you grow.

To participate in our monthly group supervision sessions, the investment is $325 while working full time. This fee includes four hours of group supervision per month, as well as phone access as needed. Ideally, we will meet for two hours twice a month, depending on the group size. Additionally, you will receive four free individual hours to use at your discretion within 24 months of supervision. If you require additional individual sessions, they can be scheduled at a rate of $100 per hour.

To practice clinical social work in Texas, you must have a master's degree in social work from an accredited university and be licensed by the state. To obtain this license, you must complete at least 100 hours of face-to-face supervision under the guidance of a Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (TBHEC) approved supervisor, such as myself, during 3000 hours of professional experience.

The Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners states that if you use the DSM-V criteria to evaluate, diagnose, and treat mental health or substance abuse issues for at least four hours a week, you are eligible for LCSW supervision. This applies to positions where physicians, psychiatrists, or independently licensed mental health professionals diagnose clients or patients. Additionally, utilizing diagnostic skill sets and screening tools when working with clients or patients likely fulfills this requirement.
